Happy birthday to shubassdk !!!! *gives you a huge bottle of Champagne* All the best to you!! I'm at the airport now and it's pretty boring!!! Well, all airports are, aren't they? The weekend was wonderful. Okay, the weather wasn't too good, but the people were nice, the food was good and the clothes I wish I had bought were great. I could have died for a coat...but the price was really far above my limits...*sighs* Well, I hope all of you are having a nice time! I'm going to post some pics tomorrow!
|
I JUST GOT MY DRIVING LICENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *parties*
|
I'm so glad Milan is still in the Serie A, in that case I couldn't care less about the Champions League (where we're going to be next year anyway). If Empoli doesn't manage to get the right license for the UEFA Cup, Milan is going to take their place! Then we could make it like Porto: 1st year UEFA Cup, 2nd Champions League!!
With the -15 (which are far too many points, I think -6 would be more appropriate) it seems like we've already handed lo Scudetto to Inter, but I'd laugh my head of, if despite Milan starting with -15 points and Juve, Fiorentina and Lazio being relegated, Inter would just finish runners-up (or even lower in the table).
To all Juve, Fiorentina and Lazio supporters: keep your head high, Serie B is not the end of the world and you're going to be back next year!

First of all I have to say that it definetly was a great game and both teams just played brilliantly. If it had gone to penalties Germany would have won, I'm sure. To me it seemed like the German players, aware of their superiority when it comes down to penalties, were just trying to block the Italians in the last minutes. All in all Italy was a tiny bit better over these 120 minutes. The fact Italy scored twice shows it was not just luck, though luck plays a big role in all football matches.
Saying it with José Mourinho's words: "We deserved the victory, but they didn't deserve the defeat."
Afterall you have to see how great Germany's achievements already are. Before the world cup hardly anyone believed in them; but in the end the supporters' enthusiasm helped the team succed. Germany has a very young team and a good manager, I think the word cup in four years is going to be another chance for them. Maybe a victory that early would have been too much for the youngsters.
What I found amazing about Italy was that despite the huge scandal and despite the harsh critics the team managed to be that concentrated. They seemed really cool-headed yesterday and showed that they can fight until the end.
The objectives for the next match(es):
For Italy: I really want them to win the world cup and I think they can manage (and for Germany it would feel better, having lost to the later world champion is better than having lost to the runners-up)
For Germany I'd like to see them winning the 'little final', I think they can do it, but their self esteem surely is a bit low at the moment, which could make it difficult

Congrats to all Barca supporters (*waves at Kehl* ) That way Rafa has the chance to win the CL.
All in all the match was fair and the 0-0 is a fair result, though I don't really understand why Sheva's goal was disallowed I didn't see a foul and neither did the journalists. These things happen - and in general Dr. Merk did well. A pitty I'm not going to Paris afterall. Good luck Barca, I hope you win (as losing in the semi-final to the later winner is not as hard as losing to the later loser! *just kidding*)
[I don't think I'm going to watch the final, I've got an exam the next day and I better do some studying. But I'll record it, of course.]
Let's just hope we manage to get lo Scudetto as I'm going to be in San Siro on the last day of this season. I'd love to celebrate with my team.

I finally managed to sign up for driving lessons.
Well, first of all I'll have to participate in a SMU-course, which is all the first ais stuff + I have to take a test which is going to show that I have no problems with my eyes [I just had one done and the doctor just said: "I'm sorry, but I haven't got any smaller letters for you"]
Then I have to hand in some form as the office which deals with transport has to approve of me taking the tests. I will have to wait 8 weeks maximum before I get a reply, but during these weeks I'll be allowed to take lessons for theory and also real driving lessons.
So it is possible that two days after getting the OK I'm going to sit the theory exam and [if I don't fail] four days later the driving test!
Adding three weeks of US vacation + public holidays I should finish in May [I'm going to start on the 18th February]!
The problem: It could hardly be more expensive! But my parents promised to pay at least half the money and my grandfather promised the other half.
The resulting problem: If I pass I'll need a car! Well,I'll need it in July, not in May, but anyway...

*sighs* My new journal layout [yes, I now finally got the paid account] is still far from being ok [*points at awful header image*, but never mind, I've still got enough time- after coming back from Naples. I'm just glad I managed to get my own mood theme (*grins*) ready before departing.
My x-mas presents included a trip to Naples for New Year's Eve, so I'm off again (I have hardly been back home for a month *shakes head*). So now I have to get my other stuff sorted + the usual tidying up....

Today I started working at 10 a.m. ( I usually have to be there between 10 and 10.30 am). The girl I'm working with (Melani from Essen, a Bayern supporter) and I had to do a table with exel (boring) and then to correct/add some data. I could have done this in less time, but we were not to finish till 2 pm (don't know why we're not allowed to be that quick). The working day finished at 2.15 pm (usually it should be around 3 pm). So all in all it was quite boring, except for my talk with the coach who is really nice! Now I'm in the school I'm usually attending when I'm here. I really feel like an intruder, not having lessons, but sittig in the computer room, drinking tea and eating biuscuits (ok, I had no lunch..) What are you up to?

Hi! I'm just here to say 'good bye' to you. In about half an hour my father is going to drive me to the airport. I'm going to UK for five weeks for work experience (and to improve my English). My first two weeks will be with York City Footbal Club (neither Milan nor Schalke, but ok...) Then I've got one week with a theater company (I'm curious about what I'm going to do there). And then I've got two weeks with the language schoold I've stayed in before. Lizzie, do you think we could arrange a meeting? I don't know how my weekends will look like, but I'd like to to meet you. *hugs* Just text me (you got my number, don't you?) and tell me what you think.
Take care, everyone! *hugs you all* I'll try to get online, but I'm not sure whether it will work out (for the first 3 weeks, the last 2 will surely be ok!).

Not even 9 am and I am dying! Surely you think something like 'hey, shouldn't she be in school at 9 am?'. Yeah, but not today, the teachers are on a trip to anothet town (it's supposed to be a teambuilding trip or stuff like that). So we got a 'day for studies', which basically means you get a lot of homework for that day and you ought to hand the stuff in the day after. I managed to do all the work (ca. 4 hours, not too bad though) yesterday after coming from school (I arrived at 4.30 pm *hates timetable*), so today is FREE. I can do whatever I want! The reason why I'm dying despite having a completly free day? Tonight there is Schalke-Milan. And I'm going to watch the match! Not on TV (it's one of the rare matches you can watch here in normal TV), but in the stadium. I'd like a Milan win, of course; but I wouldn't mind a draw....

Hello from UK! I'm just glad I turned down my father's offer to go to London on Wednesday in order to have three days there before going to York. What happened yesterday is awful,a catastrophy in the name of a non-existant violent God. How can people believe in such things... ( My journey )

Yes, I'm here again. ( The classtrip ) ( Confed Cup ) kehl_ I taped all Germany matches, but I still haven't found out how to transfer the VHS onto DVD. I'm working on it. UNIVERSITY too early to talk about this you think, considering I'm still at school? NO! I might start at university while being in school(=>next year) if my teachers consent (they should)! YAY!!! *dances* SCHOOL (just 3 more days to go!) At the moment I'm busy with the play we have to perform next Tuesday. Today the teacher said she'd like to cancel the thing and I (yes, kill me!) said, due to the others' reaction I thought the group was really willing to work hard and to manage this challenge. And now we're going to perform this play. KILL ME! HOLIDAYS: Well, next week I'm going to UK on Thursday and I'll stay there for 10 days! [and meet thedevilchicken YAY!!!!!]

Yesterday was quite nice; shopping, swimming etc. , but (as usual) I ended up with a horrible infection. So it's painkillers and antibiotic again. Hell, and tomorrow at that time I'll be on a classtrip... In hospital (*grrr*) they said I could go (Huray!) and since the pain is away now I guess it'll be ok.
So there's no excuse for not packibg your things, Sabrina! Hell, you'll have to get up at five a.m, you won't have time to do these things tomorrow morning! *pouts* What do I need? I'll come back on Friday afternoon; that means I'll be away for four days....
*sighs*
EDIT So all my things are packed. Which means I could participate in this 'happy family evening'(Questions: Who's happy? Since when is that a family?), but my father is mad at me. No idea why, I mean, he was late for dinner and one might be allowed to say that the pasta would have been better if we could have started the dinner ealier. *grr*
Best wishes to all of you! Have a nice time!

Let's see:
> The Italian workshop went very well. My teacher was very nice and I learned a lot. :d
> Yesterday's class test went quite well, despite the question: "What did you feel while reading the book ("the curious incident of the dog at the night time")?" One second I thought about writing:"Great, I hadn't slept that well in a while." But as this would have definitely been to short and after all not the most accurate describtion, I wrote a bit more (411 words - far away from my record) > Today I suddenly had to give a presentation about the Arms Race during the Cold War. I had thought as the people in my group hadn't finished I wouldn't present my part. But for being almost completely unprepared it was rather good.
> Got the last match exam back. A *dances*
> Today I learned for my next Latin test (Thursday) and made a complete revision of everything I ever learned. Just 9 words (out of approximate 3000) and three verbs won't go into my head.
> Learned for Chemistry test, as I really understood this stuff it's no problem.

A footie day. One of my oldest friends will come over and we'll watch the match together, which is great (since all Milan matches we watched together were won by Milan!). I am alive! Well, sort of at least. After a really wonderful weekend in sunny Bologna I'm just packing my suitcase again. I really love May, we've got so many days off. Well, the negative aspect is that I can hardly communicate with my flist *hugs all* ( Bologna pics, if anyone's interested ) Of course I taught this boy today (this time in school), but I did not get paid as, according to his mother it would be too dangerous if he took 10 € with him to school WTF? I am not allowed to leave the house without money (ok, 5 Euro) or a mobile, as something could always happen and I'd need to call the police or take a taxi home. Finally I'm home again. And actually I've got more money in my pocket that before I went away. *grins* 10€ (don't you dare to laugh!) This feels nice, all I had to do for that was explaining simple English grammar structures, like comparisons, simple past and present progressive (stuff I really should know by now) The boy I'm teaching in quite nice; the first thing I noticed when entering his room as a HUGE Danish flag. The has many Ballack and Milan posters on his walls-> good person. The only problem is that I need about two ours of traveling, one to get there from school and one to come back home. I think we should arrange our next lessions better. It would be best if I could teach him in school.... In other (worse) news: I had worked so much for English and Maths...and the results are just *cries*. English: 2+. Damn, I used to had a 1+, but well it was an interpretation of a (very stupid) painting. Maths: 3+. WTF???? I was the only one in class who really understood that stuff! So I could go to university in France! (ok, I still have three years till the Abitur) So maybe I'm not a loser...at least not as bad as I thought at the start of the week.
Gah, I put on weight (I wouldn't have noticed, but my mum was like 'are you really going to wear THAT?)... So everyday I do an hour of jogging now (after the damn homework). It's a strange day: coming home and then while you're eating dinner you here about the death of an old man in Rome. An old man who had managed to underline the importance of religion in a way people had never imagined. My first reaction was: "Thank God the suffering has ended! Rest in Peace. Thanks for everything"
Strangely I feel almost good, there is not the shock or the sadness I had expected. I guess I managed to understand something very important: Death is everything but the end of life, as long as you really believe in paradise and peace.
During the last days I had thought a lot about my choice of religion. A choice I made 7 years ago. Seeing how religion can bring people together, seeing how religion can make people equal and understanding just showed me again: Yes, I could have made no better choice. This might sound strange for the people who are not believing (something I can often really understand), but this realisation is also thanks to this Pope and so it shows that even after life on earth, a great influence on our lives is still existent.

Gah, yesterday seemed to be the 'stupid-guy-talk-to-me-or-kiss-me'-day. And who are less intelligent than a stone. ( Some quotes: ) Gee, I still can't even smell food without feeling sick. At last I can drink a bit of water from time to time. But damn, I had wanted to go out tonight. Well, this money had to be spend and so....*takes new football shirt out of bag* 60Euro including Name and Number isn't too bad, knowing that normally a shirt without number and name costs more than 65 Euro. It was quite hard to get the right name on the back :Me: Tomasson, number 15 please. Guy: Ah, you want Shevchenko! Me: Erm, no. TOMASSON! Guy: Crespo? [Me thinking :WTF??????!!!!!] Me: TOMASSON!!!! Guy: Which team does he play for? [Me thinking: Why would I hold this Milan shirt in my hand if he played for another club...*grrr*] Me: Milan! Guy: Shirt number? Me: 15!!!! Guy: Ah, Tomasson. [Me: Did I ever say anything else?????] Me: Yes. Guy: Can you write it down for me?
